Hello there! Honestly I don’t even know what convinced me to start this but I guess I decided it was more for me than for anyone else. However, if I somehow got some readers out of this I wouldn’t complain.
I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Christina, I’m 29 and I live with my wife in the midwest. We have a main blog that we write lifestyle posts on, together, so go check that out as well! I’ve been wanting to go vegan for years (at least 5) but honestly never really had the guts. I don’t know if it was the constant backlash that I saw my vegan friends/newly vegan friends receiving or that, despite morally how I felt, somehow it just felt too hard. I do feel guilty about that last part. Just because something seems difficult, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it or at least try.
Well, now at 29, with not only Cerebral Palsy (that I was obviously born with) but also a thyroid condition, headache condition, chronic pain, some obvious adverse effects to dairy, and being 60+ pounds overweight, I thought, “there’s never going to be the right time so f*** it.”
So, a few days ago I went vegan. And now I’m apparently taking you with me. I am giving myself a week or two to adjust so some meals might be vegetarian and some might be vegan until I get the hang of this. I will also be posting about some low impact living and new things I will be trying. So make sure you follow this blog for more!
This is going to be the raw, ups and downs, rants, recipes, victories, and more about changing your diet, trying to be healthy and finding your roots.
